Unity Care, P.C. is looking to hire skilled, motivated clinical psychologists in order to expand our services to the greater Pittsburgh area. Our group is composed of highly competent psychologists who are able to work in diverse settings and who are able to provide valuable consultation, assessment, and treatment services to clients from multiple backgrounds. Our practice offers diversification and opportunities to utilize one’s skills adaptively. Candidates will be considered based on the following requirements:

Necessary Requirements:
  • Ph.D./Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited university
  • License in the state of Pennsylvania or license-eligible*
  • Significant experience and interest in long-term outpatient psychotherapy and psychological assessment
  • Willing to work with patients across the lifespan including children and the elderly.
  • Demonstration of a well- developed theoretical perspective that aids in competent case formulation.
  • Desire to remain with our practice long-term.
Preferred Skills/Considerations:
  • Specialized training in inpatient and residential settings.
  • Willingness to work in inpatient and residential settings including intermittent weekend coverage.
  • Ability to work with various diagnostic presentations including severe and persistent mental illness (e.g., schizophrenia)
  • Specialized training in projective and/or Collaborative/Therapeutic Assessment.
  • Specialized training in child/adolescent assessment and treatment.
  • Training in insight-oriented models of assessment and treatment including psychodynamic or other depth psychotherapies strongly considered, but not necessary.
  • Existing credentials with relevant insurance boards desired, but not necessary.

Ideal candidates will maintain a private practice in our Pittsburgh office while also contributing to inpatient coverage. However, candidates who are interested only in private practice or part-time work in residential services are also welcome to apply.

If joining the practice, individuals will be immediately provided with excellent support services provided by our practice manager. These services include assistance with credentialing and ongoing recredentialing, billing services, and general administrative assistance and practice management. Warm and well-appointed office space is provided at very reasonable rent with off-street parking. Testing and assessment materials are provided on site. Given our waitlist, hired psychologists would likely fill his/her outpatient practice rapidly.

*License eligible is defined as: 1) Active license in another state with eligibility to transfer to Pennsylvania; 2) Completed postdoctoral hours and has only to take the EPPP and state exam, or must finish submitting required materials for licensure.
